Earth Friendly Distributors (EFD) was founded by Al and Gina Shimoda in 2005. We are proud to distribute ECO-FRIENDLY FOOD PACKAGING that is non-toxic, compostable and kind to the environment and healthy to use.
Prior to establishing EFD, Al had been the Executive Assistant to the Consul General of Japan at Edmonton, building relationships between Canadian and Japanese business. After 13 years of service at the Consulate, Al decided to utilize his skills in private business. Gina is a trained Occupational Therapist, who after the birth of their first child, became more sensitive to the impact of chemicals and pollutants in the environment. Al and Gina soon began the journey of trying to follow a more environmentally friendly lifestyle.
